This series comprises personal correspondence to and from Tindale for the period 1924.
Early correspondence reflects preparations for Sir George Hubert Wilkins collecting expedition to Groote Eylandt for the British Museum (1924-1925), for which he sought Tindale's expertise following the 1921-1922 expedition.

Correspondence between Tindale and the Church Missionary Society Roper River, including Rev. AJ Dyer and Rev. HE Warren, describe the impacts of the Douglas Mawson Cyclone (1923) on the Roper River Mission which experienced intense flooding following a seven metre storm surge at Groote Eylandt.

A series of correspondence between Tindale and the Public Library, Museum, and Art Gallery of South Australia Provident Fund reveals Tindale's efforts to supplement his income provided through the South Australian Museum.

Later correspondence reflects Tindale's preparations for his November 1924 expedition to the Northern Flinders Ranges with Herbert Hale (see AA124) including transportation, supplies and communication.
