4 page letter dated October 1935 written while aboard 'SS Port Nicholson, At Sea, Indian Ocean' on his way to England.

Provides an outline for the reason for this trip which was triggered seeing a sick Australian Aboriginal girl in 1933 at Wiluwilura whose skin scabbings were associated with boomerang legs (See AA122/1/60). The Sheridan Research Committee of the University of Adelaide covered expenses (£275) but the gross expenditure came to over £700 as it included taking X-Ray apparatus to Alice Springs.
