Describes the typical layout of wells that would be strung along the main stock routes, ie Ryan Well as pictured on page 47 (AA122/3/1/40). After a visit to the homestead of Fred Coulson went in search of rock carvings near a rockhole. On the surface of the rock were carvings of circles, elipses, emu tracks and other linear designs (see image page 49 (AA122/3/1/42)).
