Ngadlu tampinthi ngadlu Kaurna Miyurna yartangka. Munaintya puru purruna ngadlu-itya. Munaintyanangku yalaka tarrkarriana tuntarri.
We acknowledge we are on Kaurna Miyurna land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.
"Marching Rule" is a three page typed document, written by Reverend W Gibbins.
"Despatches" - No. 109, May 1952/ South Sea Evangelical Mission - is a Missionary newsletter.
The document "Marching Rule" is about Reverend Gibbins's experiences with the Marching Rule movement and how it effected his life and work in the then-named British Solomon Islands.
Marching Rule was basically a political movement that started in Malaita, Solomon Islands, aimed at seeking more Malaitian control over their own lives. It was also known as "Maasina Rule" (Google search). The presence of American forces in the Solomons during World War 2 had a bearing on the creation and spread of this movement. The locals were encouraged to stand up against the then current colonial system.
The Newsletter "Despatches" is one page long and is on the back of page 3 of "Marching Rule". The Newsletter is a summary of current people places and events relating to the missionary work in the Solomons, New Guinea and Home. "Home" is brief news about mission people not currently on the missions, i.e. "at home".
