This item is a partial translation of Otto Siebert's (see SAMA 1075) letter (see AA 266/5/8/1-4) to Theodore Vogelsang by Vogelsang. The letter implies that Siebert had supplied Howitt with his notes which he subsequently published under his own name rather than a joint publication.
