['Tindale S MAP Summary of Kaurna area'] Supplementary to: 'Journal of Researches in the South East of S. Australia by Norman B. Tindale. 1931-[1940]' (AA 338/1/33/2).

Untitled, annotated cloth-backed map of Adelaide area showing Gulf St Vincent to Tanunda, Strathalbyn and south to Encounter Bay (same base map as 338/16/6-7 but different data). Tindale's extensive annotations in india ink and pen include Aboriginal place names, 'tribal' and clan names and tracks of Dreaming Ancestors. Note at bottom refers to 'research data' obtained by Tindale from Milerum ('Tangane'), Karloan ('Jaralde') and Reuben Walker ('Ramindjeri'). Another note reads: 'This sheet is a summary of data on 'Hundred maps' (see series 338/25). 'Tribal' boundaries are sketched in pencil.

Also includes reference to March 1934 excavation of Kongarati Cave near Second Valley and related article by Tindale and Charles Pearcy Mountford (see AA 228) in Records of the South Australian Museum, 5(4), 1936, p.489.
