Drawer 1 of 2. The first card in this drawer states: 'N.B. Tindale, Researches; unpublished. He intends to publish'. Most of the words are drawn from Tindale's primary research. Two common references are: 'SE of SA NB 1931-1962' and 'Note on Hundred map of Encounter Bay'. The former relates to Tindale's 'Journal of Researches in the South East of S. Australia' (3 vols, AA 338/1/33/1-3) and the latter to the Hundred maps found at AA 338/24/28-29. The cards are filed according to the English gloss and occassionally carry notes on pronunciation.
