Ngadlu tampinthi ngadlu Kaurna Miyurna yartangka. Munaintya puru purruna ngadlu-itya. Munaintyanangku yalaka tarrkarriana tuntarri.
We acknowledge we are on Kaurna Miyurna land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.
Photographed at Daly Waters. Written on reverse side ... Chingalee making fire with two cylinder shaped pieces of soft wood. A piece of stone or other material is laid on the ground. On this is placed one of the cylinder pieces of wood and held firmly by operator's feet. The other is taken by the operator and is placed on the first piece and is then twirled rapidly between the hands. As soon as the heated wood dust, caused by the friction, smoulders ... it is caught on the stone and shaken into a handful of dry, downy grass ... and blown into a flame. Previous accession: AP 5289
