Ngadlu tampinthi ngadlu Kaurna Miyurna yartangka. Munaintya puru purruna ngadlu-itya. Munaintyanangku yalaka tarrkarriana tuntarri.

We acknowledge we are on Kaurna Miyurna land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.

My Darling Girls,

Relax, the flaps over, we had turmoil, coup and counter coup yesterday but today the baddies are all in the cooler and peace again.

We had a local revolt by three of our district chief. It was local politics QDD party against DAI-VIET. They wanted to force the overthrow of the province chief and his replacement by a QDD. The Comps Comd flew in and last night Special Branch and a bn of Combat police put in a raid, threw the three D.Cs into jail and disarmed their political followers - so that minor crisis is over.

The other one isn't on either there are 4 US and 20 ARVN prisoners we've located in a VC PW camp deep in the jungle near the Laotian border. We couldn't get any Special Forces so I was going in with a team of 9 of the "Counter Terror" team. These are NUNG's owned by CIA and used for assassination of VC etc, but Saigon has got into the act and is sending in a special team who are kept just for raids on PW camps. I'm all in favour of using professionals, anything that improves the chances of getting them out! So I got back to training my private army. We start on Tuesday now and have to be ready for ops by the 1 DEC. I've got the training program pretty well fixed now.

I had a major strike of luck in DANANGand got EXACTLY the present 'd decided on for you. I'd decided generally what I wanted and this was just that I'd had in mind - It will be waiting at Weenies for you my darling! Its pouring with rain again - and pretty cold - I've got 2 blankets on the bed at night.

Last night went back to AN CUU and presented each PF soldier who had fought with us on THU NIGHT with a big can of cooking oil, a bag of rice and 2 blankets - morale was about 300% as that represented about 2 months pay worth of money to them.

I've got to go out on an air recce tomorrow if the weather clears but I've got my doubts at the moment. We had the Marine Corps birthday here yesterday - they threw a party last night and all the marine generals look like death this morning. Must close now my darling or I'll miss the mail I hope you like your present now that I've got it - anyway I like it! Take care of yourself my wonderful darlings. I love you so very very much.

Petie
