We acknowledge we are on Kaurna Miyurna land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.

My Darling Girls,

Pouring with rain again- we're back to that. I took off to go to a conf in DANANG at 5.00PM but we had to turn back as the ceiling was about 50' and the chopper pilot said he couldn't make it. I'm glad you liked the plates. The only inscription I remember is just one saying it was from Col KHOA - was there another? As for the calendars of course do as you wish with them my darling I threw a couple extra for give aways I'm glad Mac was pleased with his cigarettes. There are two more cartons in a second package - I guess you've got that by now anyway. I'll send some more down later as they are no trouble and only cost $1.20 a carton which is about $1.05 AUST I'll send a couple of cartons every month. I'm not very happy to hear you've been so sick little sweetie. I wish I was there to help my poor little darling. Please don't worry about me - I'm perfectly OK you've got enough worries down there with those three little sweeties to look after. I'd heard there were a couple of officers killed in 6 RAR but didn't hear any names. I'm please that you're happy with you're watch little sweetie - my SEIKO keeps excellent time - better than the ROLEX did, and it gets terrible treatment - its been dunked in the sea - covered in sand - it just keeps going - a good $20 buy.

I was paraded to full Col Kelly - the senior adviser - Graesers boss and told that the previous recommendation for a Bronze Star for the AN LO business was to be cancelled and that I'd been written up for a U.S. Silver Star to cover the AN LO action and the business with Greg Clements at PHU THU

The Silver Star is their third highest so I'll be pleased if it ever eventuates- mainly because It might be a help in getting us the UK staff college - you know the old "he did a good job in Vietnam we'll give him an Overseas trip" jazz like BUTCH BURROWS got. I'd like to get the trip for you my sweetie you are the only one who has earned a good holiday out of this year. This is a lousy pen I hope you can read this little sweetie'

Just finished cleaning all my muskets. I slept 13 hours last night I was really beat after PHU TAN those sand hills are murder.

Big op starting tomorrow with USMC and 1 ARVN div to clear out Co. BI - THAN TAN. We're not in this one. I doubt if they'll get much - too many troops - too cumbersome and slow.

Glad you are getting out to tennis little darling. You'll soon be the one saying- my husband is the next one due home. March this week - that's another big step forward. Take care of yourself my wonderful darling. I love you and miss you and those little sweeties more than I can ever tell you. We'll have a wonderful time when I get home. I love you

Petie
