We acknowledge we are on Kaurna Miyurna land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.

My Darling Girls

Just back in from a two day picnic in QUANG DIEN - we got 810 Bn Comd CAPT THANH-AN which was very pleasing

Stinking hot - temp up in the 85-90 mark - dust - haze - guess the wet season is really over I'm burnt black already. We've got another opn starting Sunday with 3 Vietnamese airborne battalions up in the street without Joy. area - It should have started tomorrow April Fools day would have been appropriate

I've got a couple of packages ready to send off but they are very dull my darling. Just spare greens and American jungle boots - and a nice hammock for the girls. I'm stripped down to my green underpants (no scratching!) and have the fan going flat out and the sweats still pouring out of me. My "AIR MEDAL" has come through and I'll send it down with my Viet wound medal - both of them are just souvenirs - I'll never be able to wear them but the girls might like them. Ross rang me up tonight to say he'd seen my citation for the Silver Star and that it had gone on to SAIGON. I'm sure they'll convert it so I'll get an AUST decoration in lieu of the Silver Star - which I prefer anyway as no one would know what the heck the Silver Star was anyway. Sharly Clarence got away yesterday - with aemobic dysentry - what a thing to get with 3 days left in Vietnam

No sign of my bag yet. I'm going down to Danang for two days next weekend to search all the lost property store-houses myself. It's the only way I'll ever get the sod back.

April tomorrow my darling. That's another big milestone over. We are definitely on the home run now I'm looking forward tremendously to our lovely holiday together. Just us and those three lovely little Princesses. It will be just perfect. I miss you little sweeties so very much but the days are flowing by now and the worst of it is over. It's easier for me than you I know as I have lots of variety but poor little Neisi just has a hell of a lot of jobs and they are all the same dreary ones over and over again. You've done marvellously well my wonderful wife and I know how lucky I am. I hope for your sake we do get an overseas trip you certainly deserve it. That's why I'm happy about this gong - its an other lever for a course overseas. Take care of yourself my lovely young Neisi. You mean far more to me than I could ever tell you so I'll have to try and show you in July. I love you my darling girls Petie.
