Ngadlu tampinthi ngadlu Kaurna Miyurna yartangka. Munaintya puru purruna ngadlu-itya. Munaintyanangku yalaka tarrkarriana tuntarri.
We acknowledge we are on Kaurna Miyurna land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.

My Darling Girls
Back in late last night from a 2 day walk in the rai - and did it rain! It has now poured day and night without a break for 10 days. The country side is flooded everywhere to 3 - 4 feet.
We did a search opn in NAM HOA. Made contact 4 times but each time it was only with a few VC and they easily broke off contact in the rain. - so much for that pen! lot of people going down with the flu from the cold - I'm good as gold - touch wood. Its bitterly cold. It was better to keep moving on the opn as you almost froze if you stopped. Temp was down around 40 and after the usual heat up here that really gets to you.
I love the three photos of the little girls one of my US marine friends gave me a wallet (with USMC on it) with some photo containers inside and I've got them in that. They are all as pretty as a picture and everyone I show them to admires them very much - so thank you my sweetie.
Expecting two new WOs in this week to replace McCARTNEY and HARRIS- what a welcome to HUE. We've got a room heater now and use helicopter fuel in it - works well, so our room is a refuge from the cold. I'm eating here more than the mess hall to save money and to keep warm - also the foods better.
Had to go to the NAM HUA on the opn Scales successor had just arrived and didn't care for the place one little bit.
Poor old Ba Em still going crazy trying to get the washing dry- now has it hanging all over our room - looks like our living room at Puckapunal used to.
I've got to go down to the Marines At PHU BAI for discussion on changes to the areas of responsibility once we start the R.D. programme and also the clearing ops that start in 15 JAN in preparation for the insertion of the Revolutionary development teams into the hamlets on 1 FEB. I hate these long drawn out conferences but I guess they are just part of the job.
Today is 5 months in Vietnam - I think it was 5th I left wasn't it. Only 6 to go. We are on the downhill run now my darling. Now that its 67 I feel like we are winning on the calendar battle one poor sod of a marine arrived here DEC 15, 1966 and goes home on JAN 15, 1968. They do 13 months, but the physiological effect of being here 66, 67, 68!.
Take good care of yourselves my wonderful darlings. Remember that an old Petie loves you more than anything in this world and I'll be home in Jul to snuggle a pretty Neisi and 3 little princesses is my arms and off we'll go on a wonderful holiday together. I'm looking forward to being with you again so very very much my darling
