This item comprises 3 cinefilms spliced together: the first relates to collecting marine specimens from Rapid Bay; the second to stranded pilot whales at Port Prime (SA) and the third to pearl fishing in Broome (WA). The first film is untitled and the third film is unprovenanced. Cotton is the cinematagrapher for the first and second films.
According to the Museum Board of South Australia minutes dated 9 May 1946, approval was granted for the reprinting of all three films that were on the one reel measuring 400 feet at a cost of £5:10:4 due to wear from constant use in school lectures.
