Chile & Greater at the Adelaide Zoo.

Support the Flamingo Appeal

Make a donation

For over 100 years amazing and iconic animals have retired to the South Australian Museum. Thanks to the Adelaide Zoo, Chile and Greater, the last living flamingos in Australia, were donated to the South Australian Museum for generations to enjoy and learn about sustainability, biodiversity and taxidermy.

Our resident taxidermists were tasked with the challenging job of preserving the flamboyant pair for their new home. Now we need your help to ensure their continued care and conservation.

Your gift means that we can share these beautiful old birds with you, your family and with future generations.

Celebrate with us and give a gift today!
