Teaching resources during COVID-19

Our galleries are usually filled with the happy sounds of students and teachers igniting their worlds with wonder and curiosity.

During COVID-19 our doors as closed but we’re not taking a break from providing teachers with support - rather, as we work behind the scenes and from home, we're creating new ways to bring the Museum to schools.

Sign up for our education newsletter to receive updates on when you can start visiting us and book in our discovery cases again – we can’t wait to welcome you back!

While we’re closed we're still offering learning opportunities:

Our North Terrace doors are closed for now, but Content for Connection lets everyone explore the wonders of the South Australian Museum, be it at school or at home. Come behind the scenes and delve into our exhibitions, collections, research and resources. If your students have a special question about a rock or critter they've found in their garden, our experts are still available.

We look forward to welcoming schools back on-site excitement when possible.

Join our mailing list to stay in touch and receive updates, and email us at education@samuseum.sa.gov.au if you have any non-booking related education enquiries.

Download out our Edicacara fossil e-book produced in partnership with the Department for Education. An iOS version is only at present.

There is also a range of Earth and Geoscience videos, showcasing our collections and galleries, on our website.
