Maikulan (QLD)

LocationMiddle Norman, Yappar, and Clara rivers; north to Milgarra; east to Gregory Range; west to Iffley and Canobie Stations. In early historical times some of the people moved down the Norman to the vicinity of Normanton, where they have been thought to be indigenous. Palmer (1884:277) has an early record of their original territorial limits. Note that the localization of this tribe in Curr (11:322) is misleading, the name Gregory River should be read as Gregory Range.
