Copy of upper, untitled half of annotated cloth-backed map (338/16/14) of southeastern South Australia 'Drainage District' published by Surveyor General's Office. This copy does not contain 'additions in red from other sources'. A note in pencil corrects spelling of horde name and neighbouring counties are listed in margins. Tindale's note in black attached at bottom reads: 'Places on this map are not completed. Some have not been listed. See if can get a better copy 4 Feb. [19]88'. A further note in pencil reads: 'Do this over again & then check result of 2 readings Feb. [19]91'.

Map contains Aboriginal place names and other data obtained by Tindale from Milerum and Karloan. Includes notes on archaeology, Aboriginal material culture and social organisation. Tindale recorded heights above sea level and other geological data, including locations of dunes in Coorong and lakes region. Also includes horde and 'tribal' names. Scale 1 inch = 2 miles.
