Hand-drawn map shows 'tribal' boundaries in blue pencil in the upper Coorong and Lake Alexandrina district of southeastern South Australia. Names of 'tribes' (upper case) and 'hordes' (lower case) are written in red. Tindale's 1974 book, Aboriginal Tribes of Australia, contains a printed version of this sketch map: figure 6, 'Patrilineal clan areas ['ru:we], of the Tanganekald and some of their neighbors near the mouth of the Murray River in South Australia, illustrating placing of clans and concentration on areas of greatest abundance of marine products' (p. 25).
